AMCOR is a local business specialising in the quarries, road building, crushing and screening around Central and Western Queensland. To expand on their current operations AMCOR constructed a head office at Forbes Concrete Batching Facility within Gracemere Industry Park. We worked in conjunction with the client to develop an efficient layout that maximised water re-use while aiding in sediment capture and treatment. The design elements included in our scope involved earthworks, stormwater management, access and parking through to the construction phase.
This project involved design in relation to the upgrading works for an existing sports hall to cater for a new administration office, wheelchair access and stormwater mitigation works. The design entailed working with existing infrastructure and significant upstream runoff that had to be managed around the building. The site drainage was upgraded to include a piped drainage system as well as a major gap flow design that could cater for extreme runoff events.
The worker accommodation villages range in size from 300 up to 800 person. Our involvement in these projects commence from the earliest development approval phase, progressing through design and documentation. Due to the substantial size of these camps, certain elements of design can serve to provide major trunk infrastructure for the community. These major infrastructure projects included intersection design for Department of Main Roads, segments of council roads including all relevant infrastructure, and major stormwater channels and pipes.
Yeppoon Multi Storey Carpark
Yeppoon's Mulit Storey carpark was a welcome addition to Yeppoon. It was a $15 million multistorey car park that has transformed the Yeppoon CBD. Davey Engineering Solutions Pty Ltd delivered the superintendence for this major project. It was delivered on time and under budget. Yeppoon Town Centre Carpark comprises of over 330 car spaces constructed over four levels. The project required a great deal of community involvement as it was constructed adjacent to operating businesses and was completed with minimal disruption. The scope of works for this development consisted of a lift, fire shutter,small tenancy, 4 bay car wash and components of public art.
Gateway Industry Park Yeppoon
The Gateway Business & Industry Park is Capricorn Coast’s first fully integrated business and industry precinct. This involved Davey Engineering Solutions Pty Ltd overseeing the subdivision, road pavement and drainage designs for the new area.
Yeppoon Foreshore Rehabliltation Project, Anzac Parade Yeppoon
Yeppoon Foreshore Lagoon Revitalisation Project was part of the Yeppoon multimillion-dollar foreshore development. It was a 20 million dollar investment which contributed to the social, culture and economic well-being of the Livingstone Shire. Davey Engineering Solutions Pty Ltd delivered superintendence work during the construction phase. This included reviewing and assessment of cost variations, scope changes, project management, and working with various contractors to ensure the smooth delivery of the project. The project was delivered underbudget and on time. The Yeppoon Lagoon is the jewel in the crown of the Yeppoon foreshore precinct. The 2500 square-meter resort style lagoon pool is located right on the beach front and includes a shallow children’s play area, an informal lap swimming area and a swim-up infinity edge with stunning views over the Keppel Islands.
